SOME HELP FOR DEPARTING IRS EMPLOYEES

Life is miserable for many IRS employees as Elon and The Donald  wipe out the IRS workforce so they can prepare to contract all the work IRS employees do to campaign donors.  But a group of former IRS executives have made a wonderful effort to help the soon-to-be-unemployed by establishing a web site full of information that could help them apply for other jobs and otherwise handle the transition. careersupport4u.com We are passing it along and hope that all our IRS readers, especially union activists, will forward the web site address on to ALL employees.  Here is their message.

The site, careersupport4u.com, includes articles, tools and videos for IRS employees looking for new career and job opportunities,  including resources on:

  • Writing resumes and cover letter
  • Translating IRS job skills to the private sector
  • Preparing for an interview
  • Networking tips
  • Optimizing your Linkedin account
  • State Department of Labor contact information
  • Recruitment companies
  • Job search engines
  • Federal and private sector website links

Current or former IRS employees in need of assistance during these challenging times, can visit our website and share the link with their IRS colleagues on LinkedIn, Facebook and with any other IRS organization they belong to.  If the site does not work initially, another browser should be tried.

We’re committed to helping our IRS colleagues navigate career options and appreciate your help in spreading the word.
